WAYNE ROONEY’S goal- scoring heroics will be immortalised in the Old Trafford museum.
Every one of Rooney’s 250 goals — he broke Sir Bobby Charlton’s historic mark at Stoke last month — will be shown on a rolling video screen as a major part of the display, which is set to be launched at the end of the season.
Various Rooney shirts, boots and memorabilia from his 13 years at the club will also feature, along with an array of photographs and clips of his finest moments.
United top brass have insisted there should be a permanent reminder of his incredible career, even if this season turns out to be his last at the club.
Whatever his personal future holds, Rooney reckons the club’s future looks bright now Jose Mourinho’s winning mentality has sharpened the minds of United’s players.
Last year’s FA Cup is the only major trophy United have to show for the three seasons since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
